I seldom do painting only - there is often some collage involved as well, but when I do - it is usually done fast, wild and abstract! Sometimes I make monotypes and various pressed plant technique - all methods that require that I work fast and all methods that contain a certain degree of randomness.

Botanical studies is a work in progress art project that involves various aspects of the world of plants. Our perception of the plant world is changing in these years. The evolutionary three-step division of plants, animals, and humans with the plant world at the bottom of the hierarchy is no longer useful as we expand our knowledge of plants and their lives and abilities. Plants can easily live without us, but we would die out without them.
